Manicure plus Gel/Varnish Treatment

Before and After Hand nail treatment

A typical manicure involves filing and shaping of the fingernails, applying cuticle softener, then the pushing back and clipping of the cuticles (which is the skin that grows at the base of the fingernails). In addition, massaging, soaking, and moisturizing of the hands, a manicure also typically includes the application of gels or nail polish to the fingernails.

Paraffin Wax Treatments - Hands and Feet:

What is Paraffin Wax Treatment?

Paraffin wax is a soothing treatment in which the hands and/or feet are covered in a warm mixture of paraffin, a petroleum-based wax, and mineral oil. The wax treatment moisturises the skin on the hands and feet.

Paraffin wax heat treatment is also used regularly as heat therapy treatments for people with arthritis or other rheumatic diseases - the heat helps increase blood flow and relaxes the muscles, which can help relieve caused by arthritis, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia.

Our beauty salon has equipment and facilities that will make the treatment more enjoyable and relaxing. The paraffin wax is heated with the use of a sterile container. The beautician will then carry out gentle brush strokes of the wax taken from the container, layer after layer until the wax builds up. The wax then solidifies and turs opaque. It is then allowed to harden. Those who want to release some toxins from the body will immensely benefit from this procedure and the nature properties of the wax will provide a softening result.

To maximise the benefits of warm paraffin treatment the hands or feet are then wrapped in plastic, then placed in an electrically heated mitt or boot, for approximately 15 minutes, before the mitt or boot liner and solid wax is removed.

Once the treatment is complete, the wax is peeled off and the area is then ready for gentle massaging.

The treatment is painless, relaxing and pleasurable.

Paraffin wax is a delightful way to relax those tired hands and feet. If you haven’t tried it yet, you can enjoy this process as a beauty treatment, or for medical relief. Prior to the paraffin wax treatment, make sure you inform the clinic about your hands or foot health conditions so that you will benefit more from the process!
